For Brand New Systems:
To allow the system to autogenerate a Card ID from the Administrator Portal:
Go to Tools -> System Settings -> User Add/Edit Settings - At the bottom select Yes to Default Generate Card Id when a new Member is added to Shape.
On the Member Details page, you will see 'Generate Card ID checked.
Be sure Require Card ID is set to NO.
To allow the system to autogenerate a Card ID for online signups:
Got to Tools -> System Settings -> Non-Member Settings. For the setting "Assigns Access Card ID (if applicable)", change this setting to Yes.
Multi-Facility Sites:
If multi facility, you can add a prefix that will be inserted before the card ID that generates. For example, if your facility in Las Vegas, Henderson, Reno and Silver City Nevada, - you can add a prefix to identify each facility by Card ID. For Las Vegas, the Card ID could LV1234567. In Reno, R1234567 etc. Follow the steps above to get to the facility page. When you open the form to edit, scroll down to Card ID prefix and enter the desired Card ID prefix.
For Existing Systems:
Assuming existing systems want to start auto assigning card IDs with the next card in the sequence, they need to provide the last Card ID that was used and submit to support@shapenetsoftware.com.
For office use only:
The last card that was used is updated in the tracker_control_master in the last_swipe_card_id is the column.
