Assigning a new card to an existing member
If you need to reassign a new card to a Brivo card holder, the existing card number must first be 'Unassigned' in Brivo.
To re-assign a new Card ID to an existing Brivo user,
- Go to the member's Member Details page, remove the existing Card ID and enter the new Card ID.
- Save.
- Click the link under the icons for 'Access Control'.
The BrivoOnAir Description displays the current Card ID assigned to the member in Brivo. The Card ID field is the Card ID assigned in Shape.
4. Click the 'Delete User' button. This will delete the member from Brivo along with their old Card ID.
5. Check the BrivoOnAir Groups for member access. Now you can click the box to 'Add User to
'BrivoOnAir'.
6. It may be necessary to adjust the Expiration Date. Remove the date from 'Expires (lockout) Date'
field. Click 'Update User'.
Assigning a card to a member that was previously assigned to someone else.
If you are assigning a Card ID to a new Member that was previously assigned to an Inactive Member, you must first remove the card from the Inactive Member and Delete the User out of Brivo.
- Go to the Inactive Member's Member Details page, remove the Card ID.
- Save.
- Click the link under the icons for 'Access Control'.
- Click 'Delete User'. **Note ~ the member will be deleted from Brivo, not Shape.
Now you can assign the Card ID to a new member.
